PPE non-compliance
Sites require hard hats and hi-vis in work areas; spotting a worker without them prevents injury and supports compliance records.

STATE 1 / 4
On the camera1.1 J / hour
No alert — work area empty, nothing happening.
Nothing wakes. Only the nanopower domain and the PIR are drawing.
How the camera spots it
Birds and non-person motion are cleared locally. Each person entering the work area is escalated, and Gen AI checks their attire, passing a worker in hard hat and hi-vis and alerting on one who is bare-headed or without a vest.
How you would set it up
- Wake
- PIR wakes the camera; radar confirms a person- or vehicle-sized target before any capture
- Schedule
- No timed captures. Heartbeat every 12 hours.
- On the camera
- Radar drops birds. Edge AI drops frames with no person in the work area.
- Your criterion
For each person in the work area, are they wearing a hard hat and a hi-vis vest?
Written in plain English. The model reads every escalated frame against it.- Alert rule
ai.person_without_hard_hat OR ai.person_without_hi_vis · hold-off 15 min- Who is told
- Push to the site supervisor; daily compliance summary by email.
- Evidence kept
- Escalated frames kept for the compliance record; compliant workers counted, not stored.
